This adventurous 7-night Kenyan safari takes guests from the bustling capital city, Nairobi, to the best game reserves Kenya has to offer.A Smart Travel Representative will pick you from your hotel or the airport and drive to the Samburu National Reserve, which is where the famous film “Born Free” is based and it is known to boast a wide variety of animal and bird life.
After a 2 nights at the Samburu Lodge, guests will be driven to the Mount Kenya Safari club.Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club is the ideal base for a truly superb holiday in Nanyuki, Kenya. With some of the country’s finest attractions on the doorstep, visitors to the resort can enjoy an enormous range of excursions and activities without spending hours and even days traveling between each. After a night at the Mount Kenya you will be driven to Aberdare National Park, which is one of the best reserves in East Africa; encompassing a wide range of vegetative habitats and hosting a wide range of wildlife. You spend your nigh at the Ark. The Ark overlooks a floodlit waterhole and salt lick, which attracts a host of awesome wildlife. Modeled after Noah’s Ark, The Ark has four viewing decks with balconies and lounges to provide superb game viewing from the comfort of the lodge. The animals come to you!
After a night at the Aberdare National Park, guests will be driven to Lake Nakuru National Park, home to thousands of flamingos and big game species. This will provide a rustic experience for a night before you continue into the world-famous Masai Mara. The Masai Mara is home of the Wildebeest Migration the 8th wonder of the world.
Next, guests move to Lake Nakuru National Park. It is best known for its thousands, sometimes millions of flamingos nesting along the shores. Finally, guests will spend their last 2 nights in the Masai Mara National Reserve, famous for the Great Wildebeest Migration during the months of July to October; and also for its exceptional population of lions, leopards and cheetahs.
Met on arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, briefed by a Smart Travel representative and drive north through the lush Kikuyu farmlands and coffee plantation to the cool Kenyan highlands to arrive at the Samburu Lodge / Similar in time for lunch. At 1600hrs, enjoy an afternoon game drive within the park to introduce you to the game in the area. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Full day in the reserve with game drives at 0630hrs and 1600hrs respectively. Samburu is famous for its rare mammals that only survive north of the equator. These are the gerenuk, reticulated giraffe, beisa Oryx and grevy’s zebra. Dinner and overnight at the SamburuLodge. All meals and overnight at the SamburuLodge/ Similar.
After breakfast, depart and drive southwards to the luxurious Mount Kenya Safari Club. Lunch at the club and rest of the afternoon at leisure enjoying various optional activities offered by the club. Dinner and overnight at the club. CHILDREN UNDER 12YRS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE MAIN DINNING AREA.
Depart after breakfast and proceed south to the Aberdare Country Club. The club is the base hotel for your tree hotel – The Ark. Lunch at the club. At 1430hrs; transfer to the Ark which is located in the Aberdare National Park, with small overnight bags as most of the luggage is left at the club. The Ark has various decks and balconies for easy viewing and photography of wild game. Dinner and overnight of game viewing at the lodge.
After breakfast, transfer back to the base hotel to retrieve rest of your luggage and drive towards the Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park arriving at Lake Nakuru Lodge / Similar in time for lunch. At 1600hrs, enjoy an afternoon game drive in park that also takes you to the shores of the lake famous for its birdlife especially flamingos that form a pink hue across the lake. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Depart Nakuru after breakfast and drive through the floor of the Rift Valley to the world famous Crocodile attacking a Zebra in the MaraMasai Mara game reserve, arriving at Keekorok Lodge / Similar in time for lunch. At 1600hrs enjoy an afternoon game drive in the reserve. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Full day in the reserve with both morning and afternoon game drives at 0630hrs and 1600hrs respectively. The Mara is the northern extension of the Serengeti and its rolling plains are home to hundreds of plains game together with predators that feed on them. All meals and overnight at Keekorok Lodge / Similar.
Depart the Mara after breakfast and drive back to Nairobi arriving early afternoon. Lunch at the Carnivore restaurant and then transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your international flight back home.
