3 Hours Before Flight Time
This adventurous 12-night Kenyan safari takes guests from the bustling capital city, Nairobi, to the best game reserves Kenya has to offer. Smarttravel Africa will pick you from the airport or Nairobi, guests will be driven to the Meru National Park, which is where the famous conservationist George and Joy Adamson was based and it is known to boast a wide variety of animal and bird life.
After spending your time at Meru National Park you will be driven northwards to the best conservancies in Africa. The Lewa Conservancy and Ol Pejeta.
Next, guests move to Samburu Game Reserve,which is where the famous film “Born Free” is based and it is known to boast a wide variety of animal and bird life.
The tour then takes you to Aberdare National Park and Lake Nakuru known for its thousands, sometimes millions of flamingos nesting along the shores. Finally, guests will spend their last 2 nights in the Masai Mara National Reserve, famous for the Great Wildebeest Migration during the months of July to October; and also for its exceptional population of lions, leopards and cheetahs.
Met on arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, briefed by a Smart Travel representative and drive north through the lush Kikuyu farmlands and coffee plantation to the cool Kenyan highlands to arrive at the Meru National Park. Checking at Elsa Kopje, Hvae a late Lunch. Elsa Kopje is no doubt a luxurious oasis in the wilds. At 1600hrs, enjoy an afternoon game drive within the park to introduce you to the game in the area. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Full day in the park with game drives at 0630hrs and 1600hrs respectively. Meru National Park is famous for its rare mammals that only survive north of the equator. These are the gerenuk, reticulated giraffe, beisa Oryx and grevy’s zebra. Dinner and overnight at the Elsa Kopje. All meals and overnight at the Elsa Kopje/ Similar.
At Elsa’s Kopje, you can experience day and night game drives, bush walks with guides and rangers, or cool yourself and take a dip in the swimming pool that has a view that looks out onto the plains, or spoil yourself to a massage. In the evening watch the sunset in a secluded place while you sip on a cocktail.
Each cottage is provided with a private butler who will be at your service at all times. The food is traditional Northern Italian cuisine blended with a selection of local and international dishes, fresh baked bread, crisp salads and locally grown vegetables.
After breakfast, depart and drive northwards to the Lewa Wildlife conservancy. To arrive at the Elewana Lewa Safari Camp / Similar in time for lunch. Full day in the reserve with game drives and bush walks at 0630hrs and 1600hrs respectively.Lewa has one of the highest wildlife densities in Kenya including 12% of the country’s black and white rhinos, and the world’s single largest population of Grevy’s zebra. The Conservancy is also home to herds of elephants and buffalo, giraffes, lions, cheetahs, more than 400 species of birds and if lucky, a pack of wild dogs!

Morning game drive, then enjoy your breakfast and drive towards the Ol Pejeta Conservancy.The Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Kenya has over 10000 large mammals and it is the only park where the big 5 and chimpanzees can be seen. It is also where the fastest growing population of rhino in Africa can be found. There are southern white rhino, about 80 endangered black rhino and in a special sanctuary there are two of the world’s last remaining northern white rhino.
Booked at the Serena Sweet waters Tented Camp. Sweetwaters Tented Camp has long been the preferred retreat of wilderness and safari lovers alike. Built in the 1970’s, the camp’s main building was originally the residence of the ranch manager.
Accommodation is provided in 50 luxuriously appointed tents each with an en-suite bathroom and veranda with views of the watering hole and a backdrop of Mt. Kenya.
Spend a full day enjoying game drives and bush walks in the conservancy.
After breakfast, depart and drive northwards to the Samburu Game reserve. To arrive at the Samburu Lodge / Similar in time for lunch. At 1600hrs, enjoy an afternoon game drive within the park to introduce you to the game in the area. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Full day in the reserve with game drives at 0630hrs and 1600hrs respectively. Samburu is famous for its rare mammals that only survive north of the equator. These are the gerenuk, reticulated giraffe, Beira Oryx and grevy’s zebra. All meals and overnight at the Samburu Lodge / Similar.
Depart after breakfast and proceed south to the Aberdare Country Club. The club is the base hotel for the tree hotel-The Ark. Lunch at the club. At 1430hrs; transfer to the Ark which is located in the Aberdare National Park, with small overnight bags as most of the luggage is left at the club. The Ark has various decks and balconies for easy viewing and photography of wild game. Dinner and overnight of game viewing at the lodge.
After breakfast, transfer back to the base hotel to retrieve rest of your luggage and drive towards the Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park arriving at Lake Nakuru Lodge / Similar in time for lunch. At 1600hrs, enjoy an afternoon game drive in park that also takes you to the shores of the lake famous for its birdlife especially flamingos that form a pink hue across the lake. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Depart Nakuru after breakfast and drive through the floor of the Rift Valley to the world famous Masai Mara game reserve, arriving at Keekorok Lodge / Similar in time for lunch. At 1600hrs enjoy an afternoon game drive in the reserve. Dinner and overnight at the Nakuru Flamingoeslodge
Full day in the reserve with both morning and afternoon game drives at 0630hrs and 1600hrs respectively. The Mara is the northern extension of the Serengeti and its rolling plains are home to hundreds of plains game together with predators that feed on them. All meals and overnight at Keekorok Lodge / Similar.
Depart the Mara after breakfast and drive back to Nairobi arriving early afternoon. Lunch at the Carnivore and then transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your international flight back home.
